Since 2004 refused asylum seekers have been charged for secondary health treatment on the NHS. DoH has launched a consultation on proposals which would exempt some refused asylum seekers from these charges. The Refugee Council supports this, but is calling for it to be extended to ALL refused asylum seekers. [...]
